Welcome to Fourth Grade Art!
Fourth Graders will be creating a painting inspired by the art of Wayne Thiebaud. He is most famous for his paintings of food, especially desserts! Students will learn about composition and how to create a balanced arrangement. They will use tempera paint to lay down the colors in their paintings and will use crayons to add shadows and shading. This will give depth to their work. The final step is to give each object a colorful vibrant outline with multiple colors of crayon. Just looking at their projects makes me hungry!!! This is just one of the exciting projects that we dive into in Fourth grade! --Mrs. Flavin
